Personal Assistant for Published Author

‪ – Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (local & virtual)

Position Requirements:

As the Personal Assistant for Nikki DuBose, you are the “Go To” person for her brand. Therefore, you must:

•   ‪Have a college degree, preferably a BA in Marketing

•   Possess a thorough understanding of the Nikki DuBose brand and mission

•   Know how to do outreach and secure speaking event bookings (2 plus a week)

•   ‪‪Have editorial experience (however, we will consider motivated recent graduates)

•   ‪Have a car and be punctual

•   Be willing to travel to assist with book signings (travel paid for)

•   ‪Be team-oriented and willing to execute any writing/editing request from emails to articles

•   ‪Type 70+ words per minute with accuracy and be proficient on Mac

•   ‪Have a clear speaking voice and be an excellent reader

•   ‪Be a confident communicator

•   ‪Be technically confident with Word, Google Drive, etc. Ideally comfortable with Adobe Photoshop & video editing

•   Be proficient with all social media platforms: eg., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin

•   ‪Have experience with publishing concepts and techniques, or willing to learn

•   ‪Be willing to handle random personal assistant needs as they arise

•   ‪Be willing to sign confidentiality agreement

•   Be multilingual (French, English, Spanish a plus)

‪Job Functions and Responsibilities:

•   ‪Edit multiple rounds of writing every week

•   Promote Nikki’s brand via social media, internet, and through community engagement

•   Outreach and secure speaking events (Bonuses available)

•   Maintain an accurate record of press and promotional materials for her books

•   Maintain an accurate record of her financial records

•   Promote Nikki’s books by web, social media, and in stores

•   ‪Read extended passages of manuscript aloud and edit simultaneously

•   ‪Organize filing system of paper and electronic documents

•   ‪Manage writing production schedule and keep author moving on target

•   ‪Assist PR team when needed

•   ‪Help ensure that all outgoing communications are clear and concise

•   ‪Must be up-to-date on current trends, publications, and media

•   ‪Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and managing travel itineraries

·      Maintain websites with blog postings, special offers, etc.

·      Do regular press releases and public appearance communication

·      Write, edit, send out, and organize weekly newsletters

·      Plan and organize webinars
